The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion is a great,
and quirky, love story. The evening was
hosted by Jamie McDaniel, always a sweet and wonderful lady. We would really recommend
you read this novel. Everyone in the group, new and original members, liked it. That does not happen very often. It is an easy read that will make you smile and leave you
with good feelings. Something you should really want!
Jamie started out the evening serving her famous pico de gallo and from scratch guacamole. It is a little known fact that Skylar and I are allergic to avocados but we sampled this and survived! It was delicious. Success!
Chicken
Enchiladas with Green Chilies

This recipe is similar
to Jamie’s enchiladas. She simply omitted
the mushroom soup, used flour tortillas and as a time saver used canned chilies. They were a real cheesy crowd pleaser.
Jamie served a
salad alongside the enchiladas that was amazing. It is always hard to find a salad that compliments
Mexican dishes but this was it! The Mexican chopped salad with honey-lime dressing , which featured corn and black beans, was a hit.
Our upcoming get togethers will feature Cindy hosting The Good Girl by Mary Kubica and Katie
with her tear jerker selection The
Promise of Stardust by Priscille Sibley.
It is not a well known fact about avocados. I did not know this fact. And it's a terrible fact, because they are soooo good!
ReplyDeleteI knew you would see that! I said little known fact!! And I know they are delish! So sad for us.
