Go Visit: Victor Idaho

Located on the Idaho-Wyoming border is Victor, a small town with a lot to offer. Whether you want to enjoy the outdoors-hiking, biking, skiing- or just relax and eat great food and drink even better beer then this is the place for you. A little warning- The end of March and most of April is off season for that area so it is best to avoid this time. Most of the shops and restaurants are closed.

There are several places to stay in the Victor/Driggs area. We have stayed the last several years at the Cowboy Inn. It is a perfect location, cheap rooms and friendly service. This year we branched out and stayed at a great bed and breakfast called the Fox Creek Inn. The room had one of the most comfortable beds in the world. The sitting room and bedroom had great fireplaces that guests could use. There was a hot tub available, a delicious breakfast prepared in the morning and a nice clean room with a huge bathroom that included a walk in shower and jetted tub.

We usually venture over to Jackson Hole while we are in the area. Use caution over Teton Pass.  It becomes very dangerous if there is snow! The rooms at Wyoming Inn of Jackson Hole are very nice and they offer a great breakfast in the morning.

There are so many things to do and see in Victor and Jackson Hole but on the top of the list should be delicious huckleberry milkshakes and beer tasting. For beer tastings stop in at  GrandTeton Brewery in Victor and SnakeRiver Brewery in Jackson Hole.

Besides great beers this area is packed with delicious restaurants, creameries, and bakeries. For a great local foods breakfast Scratch restaurant is a must. Everything is made to order and it has never been disappointing. For lunch,  The Brakeman American Grill is probably the best hamburger and fries you will ever eat. We usually end up eating here twice! For delicious cheese or a sweet treat drive the 7 miles to Driggs to Teton Valley Creamery. Their handcrafted cheeses and ice creams are wonderful. For some
freshly baked  bread to go with your cheese stop in at 460 Breads

We thoroughly enjoy our time in the Victor area. The scenery alone, including the breath taking Tetons, will keep you entertained for hours.
